Our History

We’ve been supporting business in the Hastings since the early 1990s.

The Hasting Business Enterprise Network was established as the Hastings Business Enterprise Centre (under the BEC Australia banner) in the early 1990s. With the loss of Government funding, from the mid 2000s, the HBEC continued to operate with the support of the Port Macquarie Community College. In January of 2009, it became a business unit of the Port Macquarie Chamber of Commerce. At the wishes of its members, it remains a distinct unit of the Chamber with a unique focus and separate membership.
